Moms are important to us all! Mothers inspire us much about taking care of ourselves, loving ourselves, and establishing a personal care habit.
So how are we teaching our daughters about personal care? It may be titled ‘daughters,’ but boys can benefit from this too! We will talk about how our moms have influenced our views of beauty and what we’re teaching our daughters (or sons) about a natural skincare routine and loving one’s skin.
“Beauty begins with loving yourself.”
The key to being beautiful is feeling comfortable in your skin not stressing about being perfect.
Be mindful of the fact that beauty is self-care for one’s body. Maintaining good hygiene and wonderful scents, caring for your skin, hair, and body, and maintaining a positive attitude will make you more beautiful.
Your daughter must hear this message: You are already beautiful! Don’t forget to appreciate yourself, care for it, and take pride in what you are capable of. Do your beauty routine for yourself, not for others.
Bonding Through Beauty…
A beauty ritual can be family bonding and laughing over troubles or school struggles. Teaching your daughter how to take care of her skin, body, and hair can be as much of a bonding experience as establishing the routine.
You probably still recall the smell of a particular lotion you used during your teenage and many of us may still remember the old bath loofahs and the fragrance of moisturizing and bathing products. Yes, that’s why it is essential to establish good hygiene behaviors and beauty rituals during the teenage years. These habits will last her entire life, and these precious moments will establish a connection when she grows up.
